Text Box: BLUE VALLEY YACHT CLUB REGULATIONS

1. MEMBERSHIP

	a. Eligibility and fees: Club membership is open to any interested person. Membership fees are $100.00 per family ($50.00 after August 1st). For purposes of this rule, a family will be defined as all members of the same household. When two or more persons, not in the same family, are in partnership in a sailboat each must pay the membership fee.

	b. Fee payment: Membership dues are due no later than March 1st of each year; payment before February 1 reduces fee by $10. Use of facilities will not be permitted until dues have been paid and membership is acknowledged either verbally by a board member or by issuance of a membership card.

	c. Transfer of membership: Membership is not transferable.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS

	a. Guests: Guests are welcome but they must be accompanied by a member at all times.

	b. Reporting of suspicious activities or non-functional equipment: Report any suspicious activities or non-functional equipment to a Board member.

	c. Reporting of accidents: Report all accidents to a board member promptly. Courtesy suggests that if someone sees or has an accident, he/she makes a call to the other parties if they are not present.

	d. Security of Club facilities: Lock gates to the dinghy park and Club grounds unless one is absolutely sure that another member will soon be leaving the grounds. If in doubt, lock the gate. Never give the combination of the BVYC padlock to a non-member.

	e. Work days: Members are expected to participate in the Spring and Fall work days. If unable to participate on scheduled days, then members are expected to coordinate with Board members to schedule accomplishment of assigned tasks at alternate times.
