Minutes of the Annual Meeting
Blue Valley Yacht Club
November 15, 2003
Commodore
Ken Hays called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
Secretary
Bart Bartholomew read the minutes from the 2002 Annual Meeting. Chuck Oaklief moved and Diane Barker
seconded that the minutes be accepted as read; the membership approved the
minutes unanimously.
Reports:
Treasurer Bob Mullen explained that
the Financial Report for the year appeared on the back cover of the evening’s
program.
Vice Commodore Tom Manney reported
that the new shelter had been completed except for installation of gutters;
various facilities within the grounds had been re-arranged; and, basically,
everything was “ship-shape.”
Rear Commodore Wayne Martin reported
that he had been too busy to inspect the moorings but that with the recently
completed new work barge the moorings would be inspected and serviced in the
Spring. He also reviewed the
improvements that had been made on the docks and the ramp to the docks; he explained that he will still do some work
on the dock pivot points this fall. In
general, he felt that the Club grounds were more aesthetically pleasing.
Social Director Sean Kalic thanked
the attendees for their support all year-long.
On behalf of the Sea Scouts, Sean explained that they had 13 members;
had four new boats – Sunfish, Flying Jr, Star, and Victoria 18. He invited Club members to sail with the Sea
Scouts.
Old Business: None
New Board of Directors:

Commodore Wayne Martin read the slate of nominees for 2004. They were:

that the slate of directors be approved as read. The membership approved unanimously.
The
meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m. and Harv and Jan Irby treated the attendees
to an interesting slide show.
