Meeting called to Order by Commodore Martin
Director Reports:
Commodore: See flood cleanup report below.
Vice Commodore: The club grounds have been drag harrowed by the Vice Commodore. The contractor is expected to pour the patio and first step on the east side of the shelter this week and the remaining steps next week.
Rear Commodore: Two moorings have been service and two moorings replaced during the last month. Two mooring are expected to be service on July 3. There are currently four mooring available for rent

Old Business:
Stair & Patio Project: See Vice Commodore’s report above.
Compass Rose Project: Work was delayed by high water but will resume soon.
Flood Clean Up: The total clean up cost should not exceed $500.00. The club grounds are recovering well. Many thanks to the many who have helped from all on the board.
Capital Improvements Buy-In Fee: The following buy-in fee structure was approved unanimously:
“On and after January 1, 2008 new members joining the Blue Valley Yacht Club, hereafter BVYC, (or rejoining, subject to provisions below) shall be required to pay, in addition to their annual dues and services fee, a one time Capital Improvement Buy-in Fee, hereafter CIBIF, equal to one year’s annual dues. The CIBIF shall first be used to provide the members their choice of either two BVYC polo or t-shirts. The balance shall be added to the BVYC Capital Improvement Fund, which can only be spent on capital improvements for the BVYC and then only after a five seventh’s vote of the BVYC Board of Directors or a simple majority vote of the general membership.
No former members who have already paid a CIBIF shall be required to pay an additional CIBIF upon rejoining the BVYC. Former members, who were members prior to the establishment of the CIBIF, shall upon rejoining pay the CIBIF, discounted ten per cent (10%) for each year of prior membership. No former members shall receive the polo or t-shirts upon rejoining.”
Buccaneer donation: The owner of the Buccaneer will donate the boat for resale by the Sea Scouts.
Windmill update: The matter was tabled until next month
Mullen June social event: The event went well and much was accomplished in addition to eating.
Seagull sale: The Rear Commodore is waiting for an appraisal before offering the motor for sale.
New Business:
Non-member use of facilities: It was reported that at least two groups of non-members were on the club grounds last weekend. It was decided encourage the membership to close, but not lock the gate when entering the club grounds. The Commodore will e-mail the membership about this and some other issues.
Portable generator: The Vice Commodore will locate a dolly to transport the portable generator.
