Approval of Minutes:  The minutes of the April 26, 2010 Board Meeting were approved as read.

Reports:

         Commodore - No report

         Vice-Commodore - Position vacant

         Rear Commodore - Absent

Treasurer - Mahorney reported that $1,300 in dues and fees has been received.

Secretary - Diane Barker is pleased to be serving on the Board.

Race Director - Strouts reported that two races were held Memorial Day Weekend, the Long Distance Race and an official race that counts as series points. The next scheduled race is Father's Day. The committee is sharing the responsibility for conducting races with each member officiating on one race day.

Social Director - The Sale and Sail was moved to the 19 because of bad weather. Jane froze the food to use at the rescheduled event.

Old Business:

Matt and Allison's replacements.  It was moved and passed that Diane Barker will now serve as Secretary. We are still working on covering the position of Harbor Master.

Committee boat.  It was moved and passed that Randy in Junction City fix the   steering pin on the committee boat for $300.

New Business:

Overdue dues and Moorings.  People delinquent on dues will be contacted again.  There is not a mooring shortage at this point.

Spraying poison ivy around boats.  That is Jeff's jurisdiction. Round-up can be purchased in disposable containers at Wal-Mart.

Trash pickup with Waste Mgmt. can be scheduled weekly or monthly.  A-1 Rental was finally contacted and the problem with the gate combination resolved.

Generator:  hours and maintenance   There is NO choke on the generator.  Maintenance of the generator comes under the jurisdiction of Grounds.  We need to keep track of the hours the generator has been run. The sign up sheet for using the generator needs to be filled out whenever someone uses it. It was suggested that we get a spare propane canister.

Boat lift maintenance.  This is Jeff's area. The stack pulley needs attention.

Tractor maintenance.  This is Jeff's responsibility. People need to be reminded to fill the gas cans after they mow. This reminder can go out in an email.

New member orientation.  There is an on-going need to orient new members.   It was agreed that the best way to do this is for current members to adopt a new member to help show them around the grounds, harbor, and machinery, etc.

Orphan boats.  These boats, a catamaran and venture will be parted out with the proceeds going to the Yacht Club.

The next Board Meeting is scheduled for Aug. 2 at 6:30 at the Hancock home.

The meeting was  adjourned at 8p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Diane Barker

Secretary
