Fall Series Begins (continued)

race due to the light almost nonexistent winds but the skippers of the boats wanted to have a race so we did.  Once out on the lake the sailors went around a short modified Olympic triangle with the race time averaging about 15 minutes per race.  Just in time for the second race the winds finally picked up to add to the excitement of the short course.  The winds continued to blow as the race ended and many of the sailors kept on sailing rather than heading right in to put up their boats.  There will be 2 more races this season.  They will be on November 2nd & 16th.  (See schedule in right-hand column)  It would be great if we could get a good crowd for these races and finish off the year strong.
